Some time ago, in the small Central Florida town of Orange City, Mr. P.L. Hepburn was preparing to host another one of his famous cook-outs. Everyone knew about P.L.'s cook-outs. They were the best in town. Not just cuz' of the folks at 'em, it was the food! Of course, everyone brought a covered dish to help out, but the main course was up to P.L., and man oh man could he cook! He mixed his seasonin' in complete secrecy, not even lettin' the grandkids in on it! Over the years, throughout lots of experimentin', he perfected it. Everybody said, "you ought to bottle that and sell it." It took many years and lots of proddin' but he decided to give it a try. He talked with his family about what he should call it and a decison was made. A native Floridian himself, P.L. was often referred to as a Florida "Cracker"... the rest as they say, is history. Cracker Boy® Seasoning was purchased in December of 1997 by Brent Price who has added to the existing accounts established by Mr. Hepburn and currently provides over 200 accounts with Cracker Boy® and Girl Seasonings. Our seasoning line has been expanded to include Cracker Boy® Lemon Pepper. A strenuous schedule of outdoor shows and expositions has been added to our marketing strategy and has greatly increased our nation-wide exposure. Cracker Boy® Seasoning has been featured at many hunting and fishing shows like the National Wild Turkey Federation Convention and Banquet held in Charlotte, North Carolina in February of 1999. Throughout this 2 1/2 day show, over two thousand bottles were sold to lines of people who simply tried it on some tomatoes, cucumbers or celery. What a testament! We have also been featured on Nashville Tennessee's CBS affiliate (WFTV-5)noon show, "Talk of the Town." Cracker Boy®, Cracker Girl™®, and Cracker Boy Lemon Pepper® can be enjoyed on meats of all types, seafood, vegetables (cooked or raw), salads, and poultry, and can be found at Wal-Mart SuperCenters in Central Florida and other great public markets in the South East. |
